Thanks all for the encouragement... Yes, it's more difficult now to get the KIWI cam back on-line. I assume that BCInternet now owns and runs the equipment for ABC Communications and when they went through and changed out all the routers and reconfigured the IP schemes this past spring it left KIWI Cam and the Sheridan cam high and dry. KIWI's widow Mieke has been in contact with Kathleen from ABC and she is trying to get this resolved also... Thanks Mieke and Kathleen! I'll try and contact Kathleen in a couple of weeks when I'm up there and try again. Wish me luck! :)

The web cams are such a great volunteer service! Sheridan keeps me calm when the world goes crazy!
This is our first summer without Thomas Point. What a bummer!

We have to remember that this is a service Rob provides to everyone and he does not control the cameras other than his own. Thanks Rob for all the work you put in to this website all of it is great.

I do appreciate what Rob does , I was talking about the Highway Cam . It is funny that they both went off line at the same time ~~~~~

I highly doubted that a grizzly bear would be anywhere near Sheridan lake. Then, I zoomed in on the photo. Wow, that is indeed a grizzly. What road on the southside was that? East end or West end?

Sheridan Rayfield/East FSR at the cattle guard. Approximately 1km south of the lake.

i have had a cabin on Bowers Lake since 78.
Travelled many miles on ATV and snowmobile. only saw black bear until 6 years ago. 5 of us saw our first grizzly on Wavey Lake Road. Then next year saw a young grizzly cross Highway 24 at lemieux creek.Their natural boundary to the north used to be canim and mahood lake.Lots of them north of that for years.I zoomed in on your picture you posted .IMHO it definitely looks like a grizzly with the distinct hump on back and longer legs. Sightings will only get more as the grizzly hunt is now over for good. Young bears will push south looking for their own territory. tk
