I'm happy to report, my brother and I cut our way into Henley Lake this past week. It was great to finally see the grand old tree, still stnding with the ISC signs and my memories attached. Indcluding the old trail heading North to the Eastwood Resturaunt. When they were open, bunches of us would ride there for a dinner on the sleds. The trail heading South would end up at the Ranch on Crystal, where you could get sleigh (hay carts) rides and sometimes they'd host a luncheon. The lake was unmarked... beautiful ride, and one more happy memory when I see that tree at Henley.

Was up on family day weekend ice fishing at Watch lake. Got some. Not too big. Had fun considering I don't know what I'm doing. Other anglers out there. Ice was close to 2'-0" thick. No sign of winter going away on that weekend.

Any guess to how thick the ice is? And anyone know how the ice fishing is on Watch Lake? Any fish caught or get away? Looking to go up on Family Day. Thanks for the info if you chime in.

Your new camera looking North is a beautiful point of view and so sharp. Id like to put one of these at my place at bridge lake up high to look over the whole area. It would need to be solar batt powered and wifi bridged to the neighbors. Have you got any recommendations for suppliers for Reliable equipment, there is so much junk out there.

Thanks for the encouragement. The newer cameras are RLC-410-5MP. Reolink has them on there site for $42us this week. Steve M., a regular poster here, has a setup similar to what you want. I would think there are considerations for turning off infrared LEDS and other power saving requirements. But Steve M. is who you should contact for advice...

Anyone know why the south shore bloom sky camera is stuck on December 2nd

Steve M Friday, 27 December 2019 11:49 PM
It's powered by a small solar panel. My guess is that it's out of power with the low sun, snow and cloudy days.

2 days until winter solstice. December 21st at 8:19pm and then the days start to get longer. Yeah!!! I think Costco already has BBQ's and patio furniture.
