"A Christmas Wish"

T'was the week before Christmas and all through the house,
no one was even trying to be quiet, not even the mouse!
The sleds were all shined up and tuned to the finest gear,
In hopes that the snow would fall heavy and deep this year!

As I sat at my desk and counted the days,
I pondered how Christmas had changed in so many ways.
Whatever happened to the goodwill and cheer,
that people used to share in my grandparent's year?
We live in a world that is riddled with hate, drugs and fear,
how I craved for a change to the chaos this year.

So I asked myself what could be done,
to bring back some of that old-fashioned fun!
To the lake we shall head to play in the snow,
surely this would be better than a holiday in Cabo?!

As I thought of the ways to make this come true,
I came up with a message to send to all of you.
So bear with me my friends and faithful readers of this guest book,
I'm really not crazy, just hoping we don't experience a Chinook!

To a stranger give a wave, to your neighbour say hello,
To the animals be kind, to children give the gift of your time,
You might be surprised how the kindness you show,
might make someone happy when they are feeling low.
Isn't that the way that people should be.......friendly and happy
......Be the change you wish to see!

For each of you I wish peace, happiness, and most of all....
Good health, for without this one thing you can accomplish nothing at all!
Merry Christmas & Best Wishes!

Cheers!
