(2697) Don't know about the early history of the club house on Jack Frost Lake but it belongs to the owner of the house & property at the south end of Thomas Road.
It was built as a hunting cabin & later used for numerous years by the Interlakes Snowmobile Club as a club house during the winter, hence the name. The club held a yearly New Years Day wiener roast at the club house. Fires were lit in the stove & fireplace inside the cabin while there was a large bonfire outside. Hot doge & snacks were available to everyone who attended. The cabin is now falling apart due to neglect but we still use it for a pit stop on our ATV/Snowmobile rides as it has two outhouses & a fire pit. Attached is a pic of the sleds at the New Years wiener roast on 1st Jan 2004.

Good times there... Ralph would 'stock' it in the summer with firewood for the event. Scant snow sometimes would make for a bumpy ride at the end of the line of sleds on the 'E' trail...

I remember eating hot dogs outside in the snow at -20c beside the bonfire.
