I finally found a decent website that shows where the fires actually, and where they are progressing.

Toggle the 'Fire Perimeter Estimate' and 'Fire M3 Hotspots' to see where the fire has been, and where it is currently burning (yellow stars are active fires)
The Ashcroft fire has traveled an incredible distance thanks to the winds, and is currently tracking towards Sheridan Lake. However, it's still a long way away, hence I'm only 'mildly' concerned.

Wow! If you go back and compare Friday and Saturday you can see how much the Ashcroft fire grew in that short time. It moved almost as far in one day as it had the previous week. Let's hope that we don't have more weather like that.
Our time at Loon Lake with some friends growing up inspired our family to buy on the South Side a couple years ago to give our kids a similar experience. Sadly it doesn't look good for that little cabin on Loon Lake. Learned how to water ski and many other great memories there.

It looks like Loon Lake was completely engulfed.
Hopefully some calmer days and cooler temps will give the crews a chance.

I too spent time at Loon Lake as a kid and I have family members who still have property up there. I wish the best in all outcomes for you. Keep us posted.
