Thankfully the winds have changed since Saturday. I've been watching the webcams, satellite imagery, and weather forecasts. The fire is moving more south of Sheridan thanks to the prevailing Northwest winds. Those winds are forecast to last through the long weekend and into next week. They are taking the smoke (and fire) away from Sheridan and into the lower mainland via Kamloops. I can't wait to get out of Chilliwack and up to the lake this weekend. The haze/smoke in the Kiwi Cam is likely from the fires around William's Lake, but it doesn't look too bad as evidenced by my neighbour's photo from today.
