I’m sceptical about going out on the lake has anyone been out lately?

As mentioned below, people have been out for weeks on the west/southwest side of the lake. But there has been ice there since the end of November. The east side did not freeze until much later. Only way you can tell it's safe is to drill the ice and measure.
