I just found the info on the crd site, however I can not paste it here (says I'm using invalid words) but it looks like those of us on the South side are unaffected. They have an informative map on the site which outlines the proposed area.

Must be Bill it can be heard all over the area it seems

Hey Kiwi, Is there an echo in here?

For information on the referendum go to www.cariboord.bc.ca
Read the full proposal and make your choice!

I suggest that everyone read the correct information on the proposed bylaw which I am sure you can obtain on the CRD Website. There are certain requirements for voting if you are a non resident and I will not enter this fray or discussion except to tell you we are voting FOR the ByLaw !!!

I was thinking the same thing about the fire protection. I doubt they could even make it around to the south side of the lake given the state of our access road. I think we are on our own over there, and the taxes are definitely high enough already considering we have no services at all. Sorry to hear about your fire Kiwi and glad to hear they got it our in a timely manner.

read notice of voting FIRE PROTECTION carefully.Does this mean i am going to have to pay over 300,00 per year for a assement of 318,000 which is 291,000 for land which is not going to burn down.taxes already 1842.00 for 10 days of usage.sorry, yes vote is a big No.

How do we support the referendum....? Is there anything online we can refer to?
