Fishing has dropped off. Neighbor was out yesterday with his fish finder and they were all below 100 ft. in the hole off the big island, nothing in the bays. He figures another week before the lake really turns and the fish come back to the surface.

big grin Got up to the lake for the long weekend plus a few days. Headed out in my row boat. Yea, got a nice 4lb just off the dock. It wasn't even a spawner. Good way to start the season. Can't wait till next time !!!!

Was up last week, we have a place on Nath road the last 36 years. Weird to get there Friday of the long weekend, 26 degrees and ice still on the lake. Fishing was slow, managed three around the island close to SLR... then the waters calmed Saturday night (the 24th) and all hell broke loose down by the channel. Great way to end the trip! Black micro leeches were the ticket that night, burgundy before then. Only saw one other fish hooked the entire week. Lots of spawners near the shorelines...

Dogsled..... it was around 8:00 Sunday evening - we were in a canoe in a little bay near Loon Bay Resort watching the sun go down when all of a sudden we heard "Help Me" over and over - we were heading over to check it out and then 4 or 5 boats rushed in - it appeared someone had fallen in the water and was in trouble.... Just hoping everything turned out ok.......

Dogsled -- had enough of the ocean view yet? Drinks around the fire are on Friday/Saturday night -- see you then maybe??

Eagle Eye -- You must be referring to our new neighbour -- left their fire smoking when they left -- not a smart move!
eek!

Went up on the long weekend. Fish jumping on the Sheridan lake resort side.Lots of deer at my place.
Tips on safety over the summer.
1.Wear helmut always no matter how close to home you are.
2.Keep lifejackets in boat.
3.Small campfires...don't leave them... unpredictable high winds.
4.Wear hats for sun and tick prevention
Have a safe summer everyone ! smile
