288 [Dan Hughes Jr.] Mary Zubler was Meinrad's first wife. She came from the Alsace Lorraine region of France. Story Harriet always told was she was pregnant and mopping her kitchen and a troup of her kids ran through and she fell. She went into labor but she and the infant girl both died shortly after childbirth. According to Harriet's (Bammert) notes, George was 5 at the time and Rosie was 3.
