i am a plumber rheau pex is the best if you use the everlock brass fitting and everlock sleeves no crimping the tool expands the inside of pipe you put pex fitting in and hydralic sleeve over fiitings to finish it will not break from freeze i have done the test its the best i am not sure if they sell in canada no more copper or pvc those days are over good luck

Thanks for the all input everyone. I'll blow the pipes...I always do. I was just hoping that I wouldn't have to lug my compressor up with me.

the rheau pex might not break, but what about the joints and the crimp rings.....be careful, burst pipes are a real pain in the you know what.opening up walls is atotal messy way to spend a vacation

if use rheau pex pipe you dont have to worry about pipe breaks due to freeze it expands 5 times it size and will not break i have place it outside in freexe and did not break 25 year warranty best pipe in world

Would not trust the temps until at least the end of May Steve. Can be a beggar to fix some pipes that are hidden in walls when it is easier to blow them out in the first place if you have that ability.
