Anyone thinking about coming up here for snowmobiling, now is the time. Have had 5 inches in the last 24 hours and more coming down now. We were on the trails yesterday and the powder is great!

If your talking fish. Here is a great little Gov website called the “fish wizard”
It will tell you names of the most obscure lakes, mean depth, max depth
species present, stocking info. As well you get a good trail logging road map.
Takes a little getting used to.You first have to scroll in using the plus + sign.
When you get close to the lake ,push the” i” symbol. This should show you depths etc.
Open up the folders at the bottom that say “species present “and “stocking info”
Tip… If you want big fat trout… try fishing the lakes that are stocked with “Blackwater”
Make sure you check Gov regs as some of those “Blackwater “ stocked lakes are closed to ice fishing.
Eg.. French and Donnely
This guest book won’t let me post the link but google… Fish wizard BC

Jack Frost is a dead lake. When you cross it in winter, when the ice is on, be careful as there are springs which can cause cracks in the ice. Our friends were crossing it two years ago with their dog when the pup fell through into the water, luckily they rescued it.

Ice is no problem on Sheridan lake. Had three sleds down our road today then on to the lake. Temps are down to -20c right now, so good solid ice. In fact I will be doing a test run on the lake tomorrow with our sleds as they have been in storage all summer.
