Love this site, and to join in on the fun, Winter is the best season at the lake, if you have never been you MUST go and try it. For the quad guys, you can go futher and faster on a sled, your cannot cross the lake on a quad, have tried both and prefer sledding....

I'm thinking steve that maybe sleds would have been a better investment then the boat..Ok maybe this year for sure....Just think of all that fuel cost your saving..."not"

With a low team of -17 and a high of +1 today, I'm thinking that the ice will be in longer this year than last. Anyone have a guess on when the ice will be out this year??

I looked at the date in question and that is the day the Ice went out of the main Lake according to info I had but that also is the day that it would appear either a Dog Sled or Snowmobile with sled passed in front of the camera

I believe that May 2/07 was the day the ice left. We were at the lake when it happened. What a sight! Snapped the cow fence like tooth picks.
