Would be nice if they did East Sheridan Rd now with all the Trucks that run on the road to the gravel pits

You won't hear complaints from this southside resident ... We've been owners for 53 years and I can remember when Hwy 24 was a one lane gravel country road, so this pavement is much appreciated. It will make my trip a little shorter and get me to my little slice of heaven a little quicker. As to the recrecational riders who ride intoxicated ... well they would do it regardless of the road conditions ... and that's sad. Some people never learn until its too late.

as we own property on bridge lake for the last 20 years, i can tell you that it would be a welcome sight to see bridge lake north road paved, I think that the taxes we have have paid over that time could have done it twice over! we were promised pavement for at least the last 10 years, but they only did it about half way, oops i guess we lied. we were, however, given a sign that informed us that "end of road maintenance" duh! this sign is about 100 yards from the beginning of our driveway, thanks for that we said. Can't wait to see what they "give" us in 2011. i will probably need to take up smoking after that event.

I love the new paved road, we worked two years to get the grant. No more pot holes, dust or mud from all the traffic on West Sheridan. There will be the usual idiot drivers but they were there when it was gravel. Those of you who only spend a week or two up here each year might not appreciate it but we do.

2 young men were killed on the road into Murphy Lake on a quad on Aug. 14. Police said speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.

Well the yahoos (and everyone else) had better be very careful because as of Thursday there were NO shoulders on the road, just very abrupt edges.

On the thanksgiving weekend two quads almost hit me going down the 2100. The first was going so fast on the wrong side going around a corner that he went up on three wheels to get over. Like forest gump said "stupid is as stupid does" dirt , pavement or any other surface. Im getting a cow catch bumper so they dont wreck my truck!
