Went on a nice ride the other day, cleared the E trail out to 83 and then West on 83 all the way to the clearcuts. We tried to find the turnout to the Little Horse Pub and never found it... On our return, we looked them up and they are closed? Sad... Seems like that was the last of the destination places we could have a beer and sandwich.

Hello All, we are in a bit of a pickle as we have just arrived at a friends cabin and our water filter has cracked due to cold weather and it will require immediate replacement in order for our large group to have running water. I have some knowledge with plumbing and have all the required tools to fix the issue but am short one tool. Does anyone by chance have a 1/2” pex crimping tool? I can come to pick it up. Unfortunately the hardware stores are closed tomorrow and we hope to have this problem fixed as soon as possible as there are lots of young children staying in the cabin. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have one with me. However, I’m on the south side probably not where you want to drive to right now. If you have a snow mobile it would be an easy trip across the lake. Text or call 6048972099 if you’re interested.

Morning everyone! Wondering how the lake is? Havent been up since Remembrance Day weekend. Much snow yet? Hows the lake for skating? Heading up tomorrow.

I poked a hole in the ice and came up with 6" a 100' out from the shore. There's about 4" of snow on the lake with some slushy areas. (just water over the ice from cracks I assume) The roads are plowed and under the trees it's sparse to 6" in the open. But it looks like another squall of snow is coming... yea!

PS They snowblowed a full rink next door with large plywood goals, and there's six kids having a blast, so yes, skating on the lake works!

Ahhh, a luxury rink! We will have to do it the old fashioned way, with good old shovels and a couple beers! Just hope the snow stops after we do it this time! Thanks for the updates!

FYI, the KIWI Cam is getting better... ABC Communications has plugged it in and given it an IP address. We're just working on getting access to it so as to program it. Right now, it sends out a picture sporadically like a lost lunar lander...

I got an on the ground report that there's no open water on the west side and likely the entire lake. Can anyone confirm?

Nath Bay has been frozen over for the past two days but don't try & walk on the ice.
