Well - I haven't heard any news (good or bad) since the week-end, so I hope that the cooler wet weather means things are finally going our way!

If the Elephant Hill fire was in Scotland! I did this to give my relatives a sense of the scale of things here in BC. Thought others night find it useful or entertaining.

Just spoke with someone of knowledge at bc fire service.
Sounds like strong probability for 24 to be opened next couple days and evac order for Sheridan west road to be lifted by mid week if weather holds.
No guarantees but hopefully we can get back in shortly.

With only 21 stars left on the Hotspot map... I'm believing that we'll be able to sit at the Thanksgiving table this Autumn and offer our thanks to the 1000s who put themselves in peril, lives and families on hold for 'us'. And I'll continue to pray and try to help those families that suffered losses that I can't imagine.

Not sure if you have seen this or not but this is mapping taken yesterday morning and again this morning. September 6th and 7th.

Watched the TNRD video and guards are being built in various areas. They are working hard with lots of heavy machinery on that northern flank and other parts of the fire around Sheridan lake as well.

Does anyone have any updates as of Sept.6th
