For folks on our side of the lake (south side - forestry access road side) without social media, Don from across the lake sent this picture erlier today. Also, they have set everyone up with sprinklers and Steve sent a picture yesterday of 3 of us getting soaked:) The helicopters have been working hard! Fingers crossed everyone!

Do you know if they will be putting sprinklers on any of the lakeshore homes on Edall Bay?

There are sprinklers on all the waterfront cabins from paradise bay all the way through the little channel to a couple cabins beyond the large log home with the green tin roof. I believe the place with the red boat and sail boat is the last one with sprinklers. I took photos of most of the places through the channel so again email me and I'll send a picture later today if you like. smccleme at hotmail dot com

The sprinklers they are installing are not your common lawn sprinkler. The high pressure 2 stroke pumps they use pound out significant water.

Sadly this will be my last on location post. I have a wife and two children (9 and 6) that I'd like to spend some time with.

I am feeling very confident that everything will be ok at Sheridan Lake. Looking at the weather forecast, where the fire currently is burning, the amount of time and effort put in by the crews to protect the properties give me a sense of ease.

I'll now be watching the webcams, satellite imagery, and weather forecasts like everyone else hoping that everything will be ok.

Does anyone have an idea of where they were dropping the retardant on the south side today? Can't make out where from pictures

Thank you to all those who are providing updates, such a stressful time but it's encouraging to receive news. Are there sprinklers set up on Boulanger? Sounds like there's a lot of effort by many to keep this terrible fire away from structures and we owe a lot of gratitude to them. Are there some who have stayed behind to help fight this beast?
