Ken, George. After following this site for years I've learned that those who fish Sheridan don't share their secrets. Most fishing related questions go unanswered. It seems as if they don't want you catching their fish. I don't fish, so I can't be of any help.

Hello all, it seems like the weather is going to cooperate next week while we will be in the sheridan lake area. We are really excited about getting there to fish. Will this predicted hot weather drive the trout deeper in search of cooler water this time of year?

Hoping to be there next week.
This site helps keep me sane all winter. Thanks to all who make it possible!
I seldom see anyone fishing the huge flats at the East end of the lake by the ranch. Anyone care to share info on this area?

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone could recommend what Lyman 2" lure numbers work at Sheridan and the surrounding area. I hope this isn't too forward of me to ask this as I don't want to upset anyone with this question, just trying to find the 2" lures in Alberta and BC has been a real challenge. I did find some in Montana though, thus I need to know which ones to buy. I know the resort has a selection of them as well.

Looking forward to time at Sheridan soon. Nice that grown daughters 23 and 25 will still come and spend time with Dad. One brought the "sin in law" and he caught his first fish on an fly rod couldn't wait to go home to share that with his Gramps. And folks wonder why I drive 8 hours to get there...best kept secret ever
Couple questions has the lake turned yet? Any hatches yet it been cold her so,just wondering ?

Starry how did you make out on the long weekend?
We were into about 8 fish all small all under 16" except for one we lost was about 5lbs. Lots of fish jumping in the east end and they were all small too

Tim K, word on the Plateau is it never rains or snows on Bonaparte and the water is actually beer of youth. Is that true also?

I am here to stir the pot.
Sheridan most stocked lake for rainbow in BC . 2,832,316 rainbow since 2004
I think I would hold my head in shame if I couldn’t catch a fish in Sheridan.
A lot of them were the Blackwater strain . Like a a rainbow on steroids .Grow thick like footballs.
Amazing amount of fish dumped in Sheridan, there wasn’t even a close second. I think it was Deka
at about a quarter of the Sheridan amounts.
Anyways our lake Bowers is not stocked ..only wild trout.Silver clean and pure… non hybrid. Taste amazing.
Our fish fight like GSP (George St. Pierre). Your Sheridan fish fight like Fat Albert coming out of the donut shop.
