Hello all, love to see everyone giving each other the gears, way too funny to read. wink I am coming up there late June to experience what my son-in-law says who grew up at clearwater as the best darn fishing I'll ever experience. I am very excited to try the many techniques that I have read about and spend some quality time with my son and son-in -law. I have nearly bought out the local tackle shop to ensure I have everything. I love to fish new places as usually it takes some time to figure out how to catch them ansd I love a great challenge. I have always wanted to try Lyman lures and I hope there are still some left at the resort when we get up there to try. Good luck to all with the spring fishing.

Okay! That's settled. Sheridan should stay a rainbow fishery. Awesome. Now what can we do about the rain !

LoL As soon as I seen the post you put up Bill I knew you would be crucified. I have caught one fish in 10 years but have seen 5 sasquatches and had a beer with one. The elusive Sheridan trophie fish is harder to catch than a sighting of Yeti. big grin

Sheridan is a Trophy Rainbow fishery.
Lets keep it this way.
No Kokanee and no Brook Trout please.

Yes, there is one deep hole but most of Sheridan is less than 30' deep. Why mess with a trophy fishery? If anglers want to target kokanee, there are several lakes nearby that offer up that opportunity. As for brookies, they are still wild producing in the lake and can be found up to 6, 7 lbs...

Sheridan not a trophy fishery?! Sorry, I can't agree with that statement, every year we land or lose several fish over 8 lbs and see many well over 10 cruising the shoals. If that isn't a trophy fishery, there isn't one...

Fisheries did a study & Rainbow/Kokanee can cohabitate in Sheridan, depth in the middle (the hole) is 113 feet. Don't think Sheridan is a trophy lake anymore. We had Brookies 20 years ago but they stopped restocking them. Actually the fisheries truck was down our road this evening restocking the lake with "trophy fish".
