Where to get insect pheromone traps?

The answer is: Synergy Semio chemicals on the coast. Double bubble.

The ice looks similar to it does in April, a week or two before it goes out. Wild year.

Hi Rob,
I believe Steve is right. I was there on the 23 and by the 24 the entire large part of the lake had refrozen. It hasn't changed since then.

I'd be willing to say that the lake now has at least some measure of ice on it all around. A month late, but heh? We'll know for sure later this week when some flurries come in.

Hey Rob. I think it came in the night of Dec 23. I was waiting to see if it would hold through the warm weather this past week. Looks like it did.

sorry... Steve M pointed out a bug on this page, where some of you are not able to 'Sign the Guestbook'.

I've found a problem and made the change, and it's worked on two of my tests. But if anyone else has the problem, let me know. Thanks.

With the snow today, you can really see where the open water and wet spots remain (around half the lake). Mostly likely the lake will not be safe over the holidays. Please spread the word to stay off.

It may freeze over this weekend and then snow making it appear to be a 'normal' winter for those coming up for the holidays. That could be a deadly recipe.

Happy Holidays all!

Yeah, we had a pack rat stand off in our basement! He was hard to kill. We boxed him in by blocking all of its escape routes. It made an absolute mess of everything it could chew! In the end we used a flash lite in its face and a pellet gun to end it all!

Rob Wednesday, 20 December 2023 05:50 AM
Good shooting, Tex!

We had a pack rat spring 3 snap traps and get away every time. Live trap baited with peanut butter and bacon grease caught him. .22 sent him to packrat heaven.
