I've had success with chains on the quad when travelling on the ice. It'll give you a better chance at least.

Thanks for the update. I guess we will find out if the quads will work as we don't have many options (yet). Looks like I have no choice but to buy a couple sleds. He He !!

Well, I spent a fantastic day snowmobiling all over the area today! The recent warm spell created a nice 'base' that was covered over last night by 4" or more. As for the lake... I was up and down it quite a few times, never saw any open water or slush in my track for that matter. Just the soft snow crushing down behind me :) As for quading across to the South Shore? Seems the snow on the lake would be to deep? Never tried it though... LOL

Snow has not completely left the valley floor here. c'mon Spring!!!
Is the tower cam not operating?

HI everyone, were heading up on the 19th of feb for a week of fun in the snow. Wondering how travel conditions are on the lake as we have to travel over the ice to get to the cabin by quad. We read the earlier post on the ice conditions and are hoping they have improved. Thanks.
