A friend spotted a Bull Elk approx. two years ago around Bridge Lake. They were common in this area until the PGE (BC Rail) was completed to Prince George (1912-15 era), allowing the Moose to migrate south. Guess the Elk are moving back into the Interlakes Area. Timber wolves are also making a comeback. I have spotted a few around the Sheridan Trails in the last few years.

Been coming up since 1978 and was quite surprised to see for the first time 2 cow elk approx 1 mile east of bridge lake on highway 24 .
Has anyone else spotted them?
Know they are around , the rancher in 100 mile was having an issue with a bull elk. Quite the hilarious story. for a good laugh Google... 100 mile elk tk

Thanks!

Yes we will miss Gil & Marcy and the Saturday night Summer concerts. It was Sheridan Park Resort that introduced us to the Cariboo which we have grown to love as our 2nd home. The Resort provided our family with fantastic memories over the past 10 years. At the resort we also met some new great friends. WE still pinch ourselves to think that we have our own place now at Sheridan. Thanks Gil & Marcy for all of your hospitality and we wish for you the best of health and happiness in this next chapter in your lives.

Hi Rob
I have misplaced your Email. Can you could give me an Email back when you have a second. Due to the lack of use the cariboo forums and spam I’m thinking of closing them down and was wondering if you would like to show or host the Kiwi camera on your site.
Thanks

Wow, thanks very much everybody. Yes, we had mixed feelings about leaving but we are definetly looking forward to new adventures. We will miss everyone up there and will always have Sheridan Lake in our hearts. I don't think it has hit us yet. The plan is to find a place somewhere in the Interior between Barrier and the Okanagan with a little room to stretch. Sorry we didn't get to see everyone before we left but it happened so fast and we had lots of good junk to get rid of and tons of packing 27 years of "collectables" Thanks for all the good memories and fun times.
Cheers,
Gil and Marcy

Gil and Marcy-It won't seem the same without you. You always helped with our fishing woes & helped pull out our snowmobiles from the slush. Enjoy your new freedom, you will be missed. Dick-Marilyn & family

Both a sad and happy time as we say goodbye to Gil & Marcy who have worked hard in our community since 1985. How fortunate we all have been to have such helpful and generous neighbours. They came as strangers and leave as friends.
A big welcome to Chris & Cindy who will carry on the tradition at Sheridan Park Resort.

Just read a media release from Telus that states the new wireless service between Lone Butte & Bridge Lake, along Highway 24, is now active. You can read the whole release at telus.com, media relations.
