I measured 8 inches of ice 20 feet off the south shore yesterday. The first couple are white rotten ice, then 6 inches of hard clear.

Rob, Your website just keeps getting better and better. Not only is the temp. with the camera a nice new feature, but it works even better on Yesterday at the Lake. Now we know when the highs and lows are. Keep up the good work. There is sure to be a Noble Prize in your future.

Thanks Rob. As for the Nobel Prize... could be. Seems they've recently lowered the bar as to how you can get one now ;)

Should be at least that by Christmas Stefan as we are at Minus 20 at this time and dropping to maybe -26 tonight at a guess. But you have to be your own judges, when you get here and walk out and drill holes as you go. Min recommended is 4 inches for walking,8 inches for a snowmobile. Do not rely on others !! you must be the judges.
