Hi Jim, I imagine that lake is lower than Sheridan so could well be free of Ice. But to be sure suggest you contact someone in Barriere. You may want to try googling Barriere I just did and the Chamber I am sure could help .barrieredistrict.com/
Cheers

Good Morning Rob, We are heading to our annual fishing trip to North Barriere lake this weekend. I really appreciate your work with the SLWCam!I was wondering if you or any of your folks had any info on NBL? Thanks for any info you may have.

An Albertan who digs BC flyfishing!

Tried to put a shovel in the garden this afternoon. It went in 3 inches and hit solid ice !!!
Spring will come when it is ready and I doubt that we will see Ice out until the end of May sometime. Mind you we did get the first hummingbird back at the feeder today.

Yes Kiwi it is going to be the end of May this year. I was talking to Barry at South Cariboo Sports who lives on Horse Lake Road & he has never seen it this late. But think positive, no Mosquitoes, Bats or Weekend Warriors!!! For the fishermen, I think the first few weeks of June should be good. Mid-May is normally the best time after the lake turns.
