Hi All, just to let you know that tomorrows weather (March 31st) will be the last update for the winter 2006/2007.
If anybody has the need to write to me then please click the Kiwi link on the Interlakes Snowmobile Club page or make a posting. I will skip in and out on occasion when I am not busy watching the spuds and green grass grow.
Cheers Have a great summer.

Thanks again for adding the 'personal touch'and observations to the conditions at the lake while we're all away from there. I'm already looking forward to your excited exclamations of "It's snowing!" in 8 months! :)
Again, Thanks!

Thanks so much for the updated info on the back road situation. We know now that alternate plans must be made to get rid of the "city fever" that always hits us this time of year. Keep up the awsome job on the website!!

Just great Mark, your information will help a lot of people who are anxious to get their hideaways. Many thanks and glad plan B worked out just fine.In the old days it used to take me 35 mins to cross country ski to the old house 4 miles down the lake.

Hi everyone. Well, we made it up this weekend and what a great weekend it was. For those of you wondering what the back road is like, we tried it but no luck. Initially we thought we weren’t going to have a problem as it looks like it has been driven on a lot this winter so it was almost like an ice road (too bad it isn’t that smooth all year) but as soon as we came to the fork at No 2 road, it became impassable. I put the chains on, put it in four wheel drive and attempted it a few times until I realized there wasn’t a chance. We drove back to the other side of the lake, parked and walked across the ice (thanks for the information and back-up plan Kiwi). It only took us 20 minutes and actually made the trip that much more interesting. We won’t be able to come up on Easter but if we were, I wouldn’t be planning on driving in. Hope that helps everyone.

We are waiting for Mark to post a report on what he found last weekend Fergie. In the past Easter can be possible but this year may be another story as we good snowfalls. I am unable to drive around there at this time to see what the entry to the logging road looks like. The problem will be getting past No2 Lake as it goes up the hill and then every other shady spot on the road. Temperatures are still going below freezing every night.

Hi Kiwi
Just wondering if anyone has been out the back road at Sheridan. We are wondering what it is like around by #1 lake and up the hill. We are thinking of driving in for the Easter weekend and would appreciate any info that you can provide!

The back road from north horse lake road west wherever the sun hits is no snow. The neighbor drove his pickup to the top of the bluff.
