Does anyone have the GPS coordinates of where the webcam is located?

Is there another website/forum that is more suited for discussions about Sheridan Lake than this guestbook?

Hi Rob, no is not really any kind of sore point at all. We are a volunteer group that puts out a lot of effort so the everybody can enjoy our winter regardless of whether they are members of our club or not. I used to live on the South Side year round and I know how valuable that road has become since it was built in 1984. When we got to winter I snowmobiled either over the ice or on the road when the lake was slushy and was always able to get out and home. The very early days I cross country ski'd with a pack on my back up and down the lake.
The one plus many of the newer owners need to realise is that when the club managed to get the agreement we saved the 2100rd for ever by having it as a registered trail as it was just about to be de-activated which meant that NOBODY would have had a road.

The following is a cut and Paste from the Ministry of Forests Guide to ATV Use on FSR's

ABOUT USING SNOWMOBILES AND
AT'VS ON FOREST SERVICE ROADS
No matter where you use your all-terrain vehicle (ATV) or
snowmobile, it’s likely you will be travelling on a Forest Service
road at some point.
It is important to know the rules around the use of ATVs and
snowmobiles on forest roads. An ATV may be used on a Forest
Service road at any time unless the road is posted with a sign
restricting use. An ATV operator must hold a valid driver’s
licence and carry a minimum of $200,000 third-party liability
insurance. Remember, safety helmets are mandatory when
operating two- and three-wheeled ATVs.
Snowmobiles may use a Forest Service road during winter,
provided that the road has not been snowplowed and is not fit
for travel by vehicles other than snowmobiles. Snowmobilers
using unplowed Forest Service roads should be aware that
cross-country skiers may also be using the road.

Just a little more info that may help what some may see as a pain. All Interlakes Snowmobile Club Trails are multi use trails and are open and kept open for all to use. When the trail has been groomed in the winter for snowmobile use (at club expense) then that trail that is under the management agreement becomes a snowmobile trail that all snowmobilers can use and we ask that wheeled vehicles respect the volunteer effort that has gone into maintaining the trails.
FSR's may be used by quads etc but there are very stringent requirements on that use including the requirement for 3rd part liability Insurance and other Forestry requirements.

No need to buy a snowmobile Rob. There is in fact no restriction on what type of vehicle may be used on the forestry roads.

Yup nobody ever told us that the roads were restricted in the winter either. I was tempted a couple of times to come up too. I got a quad, guess a snowmobile is the next purchase..oh well spring is coming soon.
