I have permission to share these pictures from our nieghbours, on the south side, to our left, towards the resort).
The firefighters came by boat and set up structural protection and sprinklers. I think I can only post one at a time. The first one is of sprinklers on the old "Mickens Place" and the second was taken earlier, the next own closer to the resort. They are working their way down the south side away from the resort which has been saved. Some posts on facebook showed equipment dropped on docks. I assume they will continue setting up tomorrow. The firefighters are truly amazing ....doing all they can❤️

The water bombers did a fantastic job today with a 4 minute turnaround between drops due to the close proximity of the fire to the lake. They saved Paradise Bay Resort, formally known as Sheridan Park Resort.

I think it would be a great idea to get people from the community there, to get together and wave, hold up signs or what ever to show thanks to those guys up there, that their efforts are not just towards fire and just structures, but how important their efforts are to the humanity that lives down below them. Lets show them that there are people and lives down there that really appreciate their efforts. Ive been lucky to be in contact with some of those above who are fighting this fire and they are genuinely concerned for the people who's lives are being threatened by this fire. when they look down upon us, they will see more than just trees and houses, they will see faces of those they are trying to save. It will make their jo
b more worth while.

Hi
Any updates on the cabins on the south side with limited road access? Do they all have sprinklers? Thinking of everyone at Sheridan during this stressful time!
Thanks.

Any word on the cabins on Nath road?
Rob Saturday, 2 September 2017 04:50 PM
I think you're ok Reg... for now. And it looks like the wind just shifted to blowing from the North which accounts for the change in smoke conditions, and it should blow the fire back on itself? and away from Sheridan, but this might adversely effect the Tin Cup Lake people...

All cabins on Nath Road were fine as of 2:00 p.m. yesterday. One of us was on site checking things out. No access now.
