Good source of current info on Sheridan fire situation is "Brent's Desk" on YouTube.

No planes or helicopters flying today. Very quiet in the area. Probably too much smoke and unable to see. This information received from someone at the roadblock about a half an hour ago. The report is of cooler temperatures and not much wind so far.

For anyone interested on how to access the Google Earth "current" (not exactly sure when updated) Fire Map.

-Download Google Earth, and open it
- Go to: https://fsapps.nwcg.gov/googleearth.php?sensor=viirs&extent=canada
-Click the "Current" hyperlink beside Fire Detections (VIIRS 375m)
- Once done downloading, open it, and it should load these hotspots you're seeing on my picture.

Great pic of the CL 215 Bill, FYI the 215 is basically a modern turbine version of the ole CL 415 radial engine made by Canadair. Canada has a history of making great airplanes.
Unfortunately all of Conairs Fire Bosse's have been called to the Moyie lake fire in the Cranbrook area.
