I think Rob's guess is a week to ten days early. I predict April 3 for ice off.
Cheers.

Keeping with the Spring theme... those of you tying your nymphs are probably wondering which week to call in sick and head North? Well, based on my scientific calculations, I predict 'Ice Off' on March 25. A couple of weeks for the lake to 'turn over' and Wham! the second week in April is the ticket.
Of course I could be wrong...

I guess spring is here. Just had a Red-Winged Blackbird at our feeders. They usually don't show up for another month.

Hi there,
My husband and I are planning to come up to our cabin on Tuesday, we usually come across the lake from Sheridan Park resort by sled. Just wondering is that still possible right now?

Spoke to Hank who lives at Deka Lake yesterday at the outhouse races. He stated that there is surface water all over the lake. Not safe to travel on.

SIGHHH! What is happening to our weather?
My family came up from the coast to go snowmobiling, I managed to take my son-in-law out yesterday after we went over bare roads to get to the trails. They were icy but in fair shape. Here is a pic. of my daughter's place in Pemberton. The property is a lake.
