Those black headed gulls are the Bonaparte gulls. They can be quite aggressive if you are near their nests & have been known to drop on anything that gets near.

Hi folks. After years of no cell service with Rogers at our cabin at the south west end of the lake we now get cell service and even our data works. Does anyone know if Rogers put in new cell towers?

Rogers did not build towers. The big three are now sharing the towers and letting each other's customers roam free of charge. (I think the government may have played a role in this decision). Rogers and Fido will now work, using the Telus tower.

Back from four wonderful days on the lake. Thanks to Dave and Becky for there wonderful hospitality as always, such great hosts. The fishing was solid for being early and look forward to our June trip for further shenanigans. It is an amazing fishery thanks to all you locals that are such great stewards to Sheridan.

I'm here... still waiting for that AM when the water is like glass to see the fish. It's just been a bitter cold N wind, hail like niblets and occasional sun then snow. But I wouldn't want to be anywhere else!
